How to Join/Support JASA

Let's join JASA!!!

We invite you to join the only organization in the state of Arkansas devoted solely to promote understanding and information between Arkansans and Japanese.

JASA will provide you with:

  • Seminars and special events that enhance the understanding and relationship between Japan and Arkansas
  • Assistance to Japanese residents in Arkansas in adjusting to their new living environment
  • Translation and interpretation
  • Resource center providing information on Japanese business activities and Japanese culture
  • Programs on Japanese culture and business for your enjoyment and edification.
  • An opportunity to meet new people who know Japan, are Japanese, have lived in Japan and have a wide range of Japanese contacts.
  • Free copy of Things Japanese in Arkansas, a 20-page booklet listing exchange programs, language instruction, restaurants, and more
  • Newsletter highlighting activities occurring in Arkansas that would strengthen relationships with and understanding of the Japanese people
  • Japanese videos, language materials, and booklets on free loan from the JASA library at UALR.
  • The opportunity to have Takeo SUZUKI, JASA program director, a 29-year-old native Japanese, visit your organization to discuss economic development, culture, nonprofit organizations, education and other Japanese topics.
