Bringing Japan to your classroom
Konnichiwa! My name is Takeo SUZUKI, and I am a program director sponsored by the Japan-America Society of Arkansas (JASA) located at the Arkansas International Center, UALR. I am here to visit schools and communities in Arkansas and to teach about Japan. So far I have visited 65 schools/communities and met about 13,000 students/people in Arkansas since summer 2003.
I am originally from Kobe, Japan, which has a population of 1.4 million and is located just west of Osaka and Kyoto. Kobe is very famous as a port, the disastrous earthquake of 1995, and of course Kobe beef.
If you would like me to visit your school/classes, please let me know. I am looking forward to meeting you and your students!!! Videos and other teaching materials are available from the JASA library.
